Fire fighter putting out fire SERVPRO of Victoria is always here to help when disaster strikes!

While some fires are a total loss not all of them are.  Fires can cause damage to the content of your home and potentially leave behind an odor.  The first thing your fire restoration company will do is to clean up all the damage and get your property looking as normal as possible.

The first steps to start with are:

  • Removing and disposing of belonging that are too badly damaged and cannot be repaired
  • If the carpet and flooring were damaged from the water that was used to put out the fire, and have tried to clean the carpet or dried the flooring, but the smell is still there, the best thing would remove the carpet or flooring
  • Painting your walls with primer and odor resistance paint will help with removing the smoke odor

Cleaning up after a fire can be hard. SERVPRO of Victoria can help you with restoring the damages and help get rid of the odor left behind by the fire.  If the unexpected happens, know that you can count on SERVPRO of Victoria to help make it “Like it never even happened.”
